It might come as a surprise to some to find out that most cheeses are indeed gluten-free. In fact, according to the Celiac Disease Foundation, “Dairy” is a naturally gluten-free food group. Start off your cheese discovery with a cheddar, a gouda, and a triple cream for a well rounded experience.

Nettle Meadow Farm’s Mini Kunik is handmade in the Adirondacks. It’s a creamy delight made from both goat milk and cow cream that can serve as the centerpiece of any gluten-free cheese board. Roelli’s Red Rock is an American style, cave-aged cheddar with a naturally bloomy rind. It’s a cheddar/blue cheese blend with an exceptionally delicious flavor. Brabander Goat Gouda is made from the pasteurized milk of Saanen goats in the Brabant region of southern Holland. This gouda has everything we love about a hard goat cheese: creamy and earthy. Yet, everything we enjoy in a gouda: a caramel-y finish.

Now that you’ve got your cheeses it’s time to bring on the meats! Brooklyn Cured Smoked Beef Salami is made right here in Brooklyn, USA. No nitrates or nitrates added and always gluten-free. For those wanting thinly sliced Prosciutto with their cheese platter, Casella’s Prosciutto Speciale is made from pork that is family-farm raised without any antibiotics.

Now for the fun part. Chocolate and candy! Two of our customer favorite, gluten-free brands at BKLYN Larder are Rakaa Chocolate and Kolsvart Swedish Candy Fish. Raaka Chocolate is distributed from Red Hook, Brooklyn and every bar is single origin, vegan, and free of gluten, soy, and dairy. Kolsvart focuses on pure flavors and perfect texture for their candy fish. Their Raspberry, Sour Blueberry, and Elderflower fish are vegan, gluten-free, and globally beloved.
