As reported in various outlets like Food & Wine and the Food Network, there could be a shortage of small turkeys this year that will impact Thanksgiving dinners across the country. COVID has not only affected supply chains around the world, but it’s also changed they way we celebrate and the amount of people we celebrate with. Even large brands like Shady Brook Farms are sounding the alarm.
The one thing experts say you can do to avoid the potential small turkey shortage from impacting your Thanksgiving this year is to place your order early. Whether it’s a turkey from your favorite grocer or catering from your preferred foodie spot, buy your turkeys as soon as possible. It is with this in mind that BKLYN Larder has already finalized the Thanksgiving catering menu and is accepting orders.
Whole roasted turkeys are available in one size – 12 lbs (prior to cooking). Turkey rolls, which consist of a 1/2 deboned turkey, rolled and roasted with our signature pork stuffing, will also come in one size only. These two main entree items will have limited availability this year. The final day to place a catering order for Thanksgiving is November 15, 2021, but we recommend finalizing your order in October to minimize the worry assoicated with holiday planning this season.
