Inspired by the Farms for City Children program in the UK, this delicious cheese is crafted by kids participating in the Farms for City Kids Foundation at Spring Brook Farm in Reading, Vermont. Since 1996, the Farm has been teaching and inspiring children in a variety of agricultural endeavors from maple syrup making, to growing vegetables, and of course, making cheese!

Named for the town in which it is made (Reading), the cheese is an American version of raclette, a traditional alpine cheese. It’s buttery and nutty, but with a bit of funk due to the washed rind and raw milk. The texture is smooth and semi-hard, making it the best melting cheese we offer.
