The Hot Chicken on a Biscuit, Broken Down.

We have a new addition to our sandwich lineup! Please welcome, the Hot Chicken on a Biscuit. This little guy has only been around for a few weeks, but it’s already become a staff favorite. It’s unbelievably delicious; hitting all the right notes of hot, savory, and buttery.

It all starts with fluffy buttermilk biscuit, made in-house by our pastry chef Adriana Pedebos. She comes early to the Larder each morning, around 6:30am, to bake off our croissants, cookies, cakes, and, of course, biscuits. The biscuits are a BKLYN Larder classic. They’ve been around since the beginning- loved by our customers for their fluffiness and butteriness.

The freshly baked biscuit is lightly buttered and toasted on our grill, along with our house-made chicken cutlet. Once well-toasted, the cutlet is tossed in Queen Majesty’s Scotch Bonnet hot sauce (of Hot Ones fame!).

From there, all it takes is some expert layering and balancing skills by our lovely sandwich maker, Marcel. A perfectly warm biscuit, slightly crispy and spicy chicken cutlet- all in one bite.
