After months of searching and countless number of tastings (we're not complaining here), we've finally sourced the most incredible Balsamic vinegar we've ever tasted to pair along with our customer-favorite Larder Made Olive Oil Cake. It's a classic pairing. But better.

-1 bottle of Acetaia San Giacomo Apple Cider Balsamic Vinegar: This balsamic vinegar is from Novellara, 18kg north of Reggio-Emilia in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. The producer, Andrea Bezzecchi, grows his own organic grapes, allowing him to control each and every step of production. Produced in very small batches, under 40 liters each, allowing for incredible attention to detail and commitment to quality that pays off in depth of taste. This particular flavor is made from fresh Trentino apples that are reduced and acidified, for a balanced sweet-tang.
-1 Larder Made Olive Oil Cake: For sweetness, we start by rubbing together lemon and orange zest into sugar. Then we incorporate the Arbequina olive oil (instead of butter). Add eggs, vanilla, flour, baking powder, and salt in batches and we have our batter. Once the cakes have cooled we glaze them with the classic mixture of powdered sugar and lemon juice. The result is a light, extremely moist cake with the sweet finish of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
