Calling All Coffee Lovers - BKLYN Larder

At BKLYN Larder, our celebration of locally sourced, ethically made, and small batch items isn't limited to just food. We also possess a growing selection of artisanal ales, hard ciders, organic juices, loose teas, and you guessed it, coffee! For fall 2021 we've brought in two of the most unique coffee brands we could find to satisfy the curiosity and taste of our loyal coffee enthusiasts.

We are thrilled to announce that we now carry both Coffee Project New York and Manhattan Coffee Roasters at BKLYN Larder. Each brand offers distinct flavors with a unique story that we are certain will resonate with the local community.

Coffee Project New York was founded in 2015 by Chi Sum Ngai and her partner Kaleena Teoh to share their passion for coffee with New York City’s East Village neighborhood. The pair's dedication to the craft and the community was profound, and they garnered wide recognition when Coffee Project New York was named Time Out NY's most loved coffee shop in New York. Five years later, Coffee Project New York has opened a roastery and New York State’s only Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Premier Training Campus (in Long Island City, New York), to serve coffee professionals and enthusiasts alike. Try these flavors at BKLYN Larder:
“Woke Up in New York” House Drip – Hints of milk chocolate, and candied nuts with a fruity finish.
“Crowd Pleaser” House Espresso – Flavors of black cherry, chocolate, and honey. Balanced and sweet.

Manhattan Coffee Roasters is based in The Netherlands harbor city of Rotterdam. The name Manhattan Coffee Roasters is inspired by the history of this harbor. In particular the Holland America line that sailed from Rotterdam to New York. Rotterdam is situated next to the river Maas and being the only modern city with a gorgeous skyline in The Netherlands, it is locally named “Manhattan aan de Maas”. Manhattan Coffee Roasters celebrates local history while having international aspirations. The company was founded by long time coffee industry professionals Ben Morrow and Esther Maasdam. They focus on bringing the flavour of origin into every cup of coffee. All of their beans are sourced ethically and sustainably. Try these flavors at BKLYN Larder:
Brooklyn Espresso Blend – From Brazil with a creamy, candied orange, and praline taste.

Inacio Soares 454 (Coffee) – From Brazil with tasting notes of dark chocolate, whiskey, and lapsang souchong.
