Ogleshield

Ogleshield is a British semi-soft, washed-rind cheese from Somerset made by Montgomery's who also happen to make one of our favorite cheddars. The creamy, savory, slightly pungent flavor, comes from rich Jersey Cow milk and the pinkish rind that develops from regular brine washes as the cheese ages. 
Try Ogleshield anywhere you would use raclette - in fondue, slathered over potatoes, in grilled cheese, on onion soup. 
  • Milk: Unpasteurized Jersey cow's milk
  • Type: Washed-rind, semi-soft, Raclette-style.
  • Flavor: Savory, sweet, fruity, with notes of chicken broth and a slight funk.
  • Texture: Soft, supple, creamy, and elastic.
  • Rind: Pungent, orange/pink, brine-washed
