Eckhart Beer Co. is Brooklyn's newest brewery specializing in European- style lagers. Eckhart's approach is 'narrow but deep' - rather than new releases every other week, they brew a handful of core lagers available year round, with limited, seasonally appropriate special releases. They're all about low-intervention, traditional methods - no extracts, enzymes, clarifying agents, gimmicks or tricks, just long, cold maturation times, the best continental ingredients possible, and natural carbonation.
- German Style Pils: Light in body but rich in malt and hop flavor. Notes of cracker and fresh cereal grain with noble hop and spice. Distinctively dry, bitter finish. 4.4% ABV
- Helles Lager:A traditionalMunich-style Helles, brewed with heirloom malt and whole leaf hops. This soft, malt-forward classic balances sweet malt notes with hints of noble hop aroma and a slight touch of sulfur. A short decoction results in a stunningly golden beer that will transport you straight to Bavaria. 5.1% ABV.
