Sweet Grass Dairy was born in 2000 in Thomasville, GA after Al and Desiree Wehner switched their farming methods to intensive grazing and eventually started making cheese. The Dairy is now run by their daughter and son-in-law.

Green Hill is an eight-time winner at the American Cheese Society Annual Conference.
