Professionally trained culinary experts and teachers, Joan and Irene launched Effie's Homemade to share their family's traditional Nova Scotian oatcakes. These biscuits are great with any cheese and wonderful on their own, too.
Original Oatcake: Crisp, buttery layers of toasted oats with a hint of salt. A classic tea biscuit. Delicious with jam, nut butter, or any cheese—from blue to brie.
Ginger Biscuit: Lightly sweet biscuit with a bold ginger zing. A perfect pair with lemon or orange curd, tea or lemonade, and buttery brie or mascarpone.
Gruyere Biscuit: Gruyere cheese with a twist of pepper. Enjoy with prosciutto or ham, caramelized onion jam, and your favorite craft beer.
Nationwide Shipping
We ship select items nationwide from Brooklyn, NY. Please note: we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes.
Shipping is available at a flat rate of $25, with expedited and overnight options available at checkout.
At checkout, you’ll choose your shipping speed and ship date (the date your order leaves us), not the delivery date. Most orders arrive within 1–2 days of the selected ship date, even when Standard Shipping is selected.
To protect perishable items, ship dates are available Monday and Thursday and may be limited during warmer periods. Please ensure someone is available to receive perishable deliveries.
