Ayshire - Originally from Ayrshire, Scotland, Ayrshire cows are a relatively large breed of cattle that are known for their toughness, stamina, and efficiency in milk production. Unlike most breeds, Ayrshire cows are known to be somewhat combative, stubborn, and hard to own. 5.25 inches long and 3 inches tall, this figurine is a bit larger than a soda can on its side. Although this model has a white coat with mahogany brown patches, Ayrshire cows can have patches in a wide array of colors, including orange and light red.
Black Sheep - Unlike many other animals, white coloration in sheep is a dominant gene, rather than a recessive gene or mutation like albinism and leucism. Therefore, black sheep are fairly rare, occurring in about 25% of cases. 3.25 inches long and 3 inches high, or about the size of a standard deck of playing cards stood on its side.
Ewe - Most commonly raised for wool, a ewe is a female sheep, a descendent of a wild mountain mouflon. Over 200 domestic breeds exist worldwide, having been selectively bred for millennia for size, hardiness, wool type, and flocking instincts, among other traits. Primarily white, this 3-inch-long ewe features additional color on the hooves and about the face.
Hereford - The classic beef cattle, Herefords were originally bred in England with the goal of producing quality beef from grass for a growing population. They are easily distinguished by their reddish hide and contrasting white faces and lower legs. At 5.25 inches long and 3.25 inches tall, this Hereford Cow measures up well with other cattle figures, and it's about the size of a larger smartphone. The reddish hide with white accents is typical for the breed.
Mini Holstein - When people think of dairy cows, they often imagine a passive black-and-white creature, and for good reasons. Holsteins, with their distinctive black-and-white markings are far and away the most prodigious milk producers in the United States. Classic black-and-white Holstein Cows are about the size of a playing die, around 1" long.
Kid Goat - Kids are baby goats, and giving birth to a baby goat is known as kidding. Kids are born after around 150 days gestation, and twins are most common, although single and triplet births are also fairly common. Kids can show a variety of colors, including bright white. 2 inches long and 1.5 inch tall, a little bigger than a jumbo egg.
