When Kosrof DerOhanessian immigrated to the US in 1925 from Armenia, he didn’t have much more than the clothes on his back. With much determination and support from his family, he transformed the tradition of manufacturing exceptional all natural Armenian String Cheese in America.
By using the highest quality whole-milk cow curd, The Sun-Ni Cheese Company produces the best Armenian String Cheese on this side of the Atlantic. Each piece of Sun-Ni String Cheese is still being braided by hand. The Sun-Ni name is derived from Kosrof’s two daughters Sunny and Nina who joined the venture in 1971.

Nationwide Shipping
We ship select items nationwide from Brooklyn, NY. Please note: we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes.
Shipping is available at a flat rate of $25, with expedited and overnight options available at checkout.
At checkout, you’ll choose your shipping speed and ship date (the date your order leaves us), not the delivery date. Most orders arrive within 1–2 days of the selected ship date, even when Standard Shipping is selected.
To protect perishable items, ship dates are available Monday and Thursday and may be limited during warmer periods. Please ensure someone is available to receive perishable deliveries.
